Matcha is a traditional Japanese culture of enjoying powdered tea leaves whisked into a froth.

Today's sweets are Rakugan, a traditional Japanese dry sweet made from high-quality sugar called Wasanbon.

This experience proceeds non-verbally.
Please enjoy the gestures with minimal words.

How to eat sweets

Host: "Douzo" (Please go ahead)
  1. Bow lightly while seated.
  2. Say "Itadakimasu".
  3. Quietly open the Rakugan wrapper and place it on the white Washi paper (Kaishi).
  4. Put it in your mouth, do not chew, and quietly enjoy the sweetness as it melts away.
  5. Fold the wrapper small, tidy up the Kaishi, and place it in front of you.

※You may take the Kaishi home as a souvenir.

How to drink Matcha

Host: "Douzo" (Please go ahead)
  1. Bow lightly while seated.
  2. Say "Itadakimasu" or "Otemae chodai itashimasu".
    (It may be challenging to say, but trying a traditional phrase is part of the experience.)
  3. Take the tea bowl (bowl containing Matcha) with your right hand.
  4. Gently place it on your left palm.
  5. Turn it clockwise twice with your right hand to avoid the front.
  6. Enjoy quietly.
  7. After drinking, turn it counter-clockwise twice with your right hand to return the front to its original position.
  8. Return the tea bowl to its original position.

Participation Guidelines
To ensure a safe experience for everyone, we ask for your understanding and cooperation on the following points.

1. Selection of Guests (Seating)

  • Capacity: Seating in the tea room is limited to 4 guests per session.
  • Selection Method: If there are many applicants, the staff will decide by "Rock-Paper-Scissors" 10 minutes before the start.
  • Free Viewing: Even if you cannot be seated, you are free to watch the tea ceremony and listen to the music from the surrounding area.

2. Changes or Cancellation of the Program

  • Schedule Changes: Due to unforeseen accidents or circumstances, the content may be changed or cancelled without prior notice.
  • Safety First: As this event is held in a special outdoor environment (snowy mountain), safety will be prioritized based on weather and equipment conditions.

3. Food & Drink (Allergies/Burns) and Clothing

  • Allergy Information: The sweets served (Rakugan) contain "Chestnut" and "Red Peas" as ingredients. The beverage served contains "Matcha (Tea Leaves)".
    Please be careful if you have allergies to these or are restricting caffeine intake.
  • Caution for Burns: The tea served may be very hot. Please be careful not to burn yourself when drinking.
  • Soiling of Clothes: Matcha may cause stains if it gets on clothes (especially ski wear). Please note that we are not responsible for any stains unless due to our negligence.

4. Photography & SNS Posting by Guests

  • SNS Posting Welcome: Photography and video recording with smartphones, etc., and posting to social media are basically free.
  • Consideration for Others: When shooting, please respect the privacy of other guests and observe manners so as not to bother those around you.

5. Recording by the Organizer

  • Recording: On the day, dedicated staff will take photos and videos for project recording and public relations.
  • Media Publication: The recorded footage and photos may be published on the official website, SNS, etc. Please participate with this understanding.
